森科能源(SU)于2009年收购了加拿大石油公司(Petro-Canada ),获得了后者在北海、北非和拉美的资产,成为全球最大的油砂资源公司,同时,森科能源是加拿大最大的石油公司,也是全球领先的综合性能源企业,主要业务包括:油砂开采、天然气、原油深度提炼、风力发电、生物燃料等能源行业,公司业务遍及全球100多个国家及地区。森科能源的主要产品包括:汽油机机油(广泛用于新型高档轿车及赛车)、柴油机机油(广泛用于超重负荷大型载重车辆的高档柴油发动机)、工业设备用油(抗磨液压油等,广泛应用于各种高档车辆及设备的液压系统,重卡自卸液压系统及各种工程设备的液压系统)、液力传动油(应用于各种轿车和轻型卡车的自动变速系统及各类重型载货运输车、履带车、装载车、越野车的液力变矩器、液力耦合器、功率调解泵等各类液压系统和液力传动系统)、车用齿轮油(适用于各种轿车、微型车、中型长途运行车辆、中型、重型、载重汽车车桥、轴承、底盘、水泵、电机等摩擦部位和重型机械、轧钢等行业的高温轴承、齿轮部位的润滑)。森科能源Suncor Energy(SU)历史沿革: 1917年,总部设在美国的森科能源母公司——Sun Company,在加拿大蒙特利尔开展润滑油、煤油业务。 1919年,森科在蒙特利尔开设第一个加拿大办事处——Sun Company of Canada。 1960年,母公司Sun Company投资2.5亿美金在加拿大Fort McMurray建立Great Canadian油砂项目,1964年开建。 1967年9月30日,Great Canadian项目投产,日产原油45,000桶。 20世纪90年代,森科能源新总裁兼首席执行官——里克·乔治重新定位公司为“可持续(可再生)能源公司”。 1997年4月,公司将名称由Suncor Inc.变更为Suncor Energy Inc。 2000年,公司投资34亿美元进行产能扩张,计划到2004年底,达到日产225,000桶的目标。 2009年7月21日,Suncor Energy和Petro-Canada获准合并。 2016年1月18日,森科能源宣布以42亿加币收购加拿大油砂公司Canadian Oil Sands Limited (TO:COS)。
